Final Poster & Essay

My design is stating the history of Brad Angelo's bowling career. My poster conveys this by both the typography and the photographic elements. My photo of Brad Angelo in a bowling position helps illustrate the subject of the poster. The graphical design of Italy allows the poster to convey the message of Brad's Italian personal background. I made the lettering for his name bold, big, and having an outline to Emphasize his name. I also made the rest of the typography have a shadow in order to have it jump out of the background. I honestly picked a black and red background gradient because they are my favorite colors and they seem to contrast the shirt he is wearing in the photograph. I also made the transparency of Italy higher so that the white text would show up well over top of it. My design conforms to the rule of thirds because my main focus point of the photo of Brad is on two rule of third lines. I used emphasis in my design by making his name big and bold. I used alignment by making sure the typography of the paragraphs were left aligned with each other. I used contrast in my lettering and the Italy design by implementing opacity and shadows. Balance is implemented in my design because the sides, top, and bottom of the poster are equally weighted. The design principle of flow is illustrated by the parallel angles of Italy and the photo of Brad Angelo. The style of the paragraph give the poster repetition.
